Job Summary:
The Rehabilitation Psychologist will provide specialized psychological services to individuals who have experienced disabilities or injuries, with the goal of promoting their overall psychological well-being and facilitating their successful return to daily activities. The role requires expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and treatment planning within a rehabilitation context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of individuals with disabilities or injuries.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Provide evidence-based interventions, psychotherapy, and counseling to individuals and their families, focusing on enhancing coping skills, resilience, and overall psychological adjustment.

- Provide consultation and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure integrated care and holistic treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in rehabilitation psychology and contribute to the professional development of the team through sharing knowledge and participating in training opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in the state where the position is located.
- Specialization or significant experience in rehabilitation psychology, with a strong understanding of the psychological aspects of disability, chronic illness, and injury.
- In-depth knowledge of psychological assessment techniques and tools, including standardized tests, interviews, and observation.
- Proficiency in applying evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions within a rehabilitation context.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
